Eastgate Studio & Gallery

Eastgate Studio & Gallery is a vibrant printmaking hub in the heart of Beverley. Founded in 2020 after the restoration of a long-neglected three‑storey building, the studio was created to provide open‑access traditional printmaking facilities, workshops, and an inspiring gallery space for both emerging and established artists. The project began with a temporary gallery showcasing The Mute Persistence of Water, before full renovation transformed the building into the thriving creative centre it is today.

The studio now offers a fully equipped print room, including an Albion flat‑bed press, etching press, and screen‑printing facilities, alongside annual memberships, open‑access sessions, and a rolling programme of workshops. As the resident printmaker, I provide guidance, technical support, and professional advice to help members develop their practice and present their work for sale.

Our flexible gallery hosts exhibitions, pop‑ups, and a dedicated shop supplying specialist printmaking tools and materials. Eastgate Studio has grown into a warm, welcoming community described by visitors as a space with real “soul”, a place where printmakers can learn, experiment, and connect.
