The ‘nose’ behind Radical Botany, Claire, is a small batch artisan perfume maker, creating original ‘fumes that tell stories. Blending art and chemistry, Claire creates scents with personality. Claire has learnt and perfected her craft under the tutelage of an international group, shout out and thanks to Emmanuelle Moeglin, Marina Barcellina, Karen Gilbert, Sarah McCartney, Ashley Eden Kessler and the Institute of Art and Olfaction.

Claire’s practice focuses on natural, renewable, biodegradable and bio-tech derived ingredients.

Drawing inspiration from moments in place, space and time, from the everyday to the sacred, from the extinct and the ancient to the here and now. From individual flowers, fruits, woods, seeds and grasses to complete habitats, from urban gardens and rural idyll’s to forests and jungles, from the land to the sea and from the tamed to the wild. From earth to space.
