Gail E. Hurst

Gail E. Hurst is a Freelance Visual Artist based in the East Riding of Yorkshire, specialising in mixed media sculpture and painting. Gail paints large scale expressive florals in oils and watercolour, drenching her studio with seasonal blooms she works quickly with high energy to attain a freshness and movement in her work.

Her sculptures have a visual narrative that she achieves through research, materials and collage. They have been predominantly made from paper, but more recently she has worked with old Braille script and milk cartons. Her latest sculpture 'A Gift of Bur-clover' winning the "People's Choice Award' at the Beverley Art Galleries Open Exhibition 2025.
