My paintings grow out of a love of colour, movement, and the physical act of painting. I work with abstract motifs, letting shapes, marks, and layers develop naturally as I go. Rather than planning everything in advance, I respond to what is happening on the canvas, allowing each painting to find its own direction.

I use oil paint, building up layers with loose, expressive brushstrokes. Colours overlap, shift, and blend into one another, creating a sense of depth and movement. Different forms come forward while others fade back, encouraging you to look slowly and let the painting unfold.

I mix and apply paint using palette knives and decorators’ brushes, often working wet‑on‑wet so the surface stays active and fluid. Once the paint begins to dry, I return to adjust texture, guided by how the paint behaves rather than a fixed outcome.

Each painting is a record of time, movement, and decision, balancing instinct with intention. The marks, layers, and textures are not just how the work is produced, they are the foundations.
