Jenny Davies
Working from her peaceful garden studio a short walk from Beverley town centre, Jenny creates intricate and detailed pen drawings and prints, inspired by her love of birdwatching, British wildlife and children's literature.
Her imaginative illustrative pieces have been described as both nostalgically warm and gently humorous. She also loves to incorporate vintage ephemera into both her drawing and printmaking practices from her ever expanding collection of old maps, sheet music, receipts and strangely...bus tickets!
Along side her pen illustrations, Jenny will be also demonstrating intaglio printmaking techniques across both Open Studios weekends, using her Little Thumper Gunning etching press.
In addition, Jenny designed a Rat for the Mischief of Rats trail raising money for The Daisy Appeal in 2025. “Rats Ahoy” sold at auction for £10,600.
Jenny's work now travels far and wide and she is represented by galleries locally and as far afield as Cornwall, Cumbria, Northumberland, York and Scotland.
