Eastgate Studio Gallery is a vibrant printmaking hub in the heart of Beverley. Founded in 2020 after the restoration of a long-neglected three‑storey building, the studio was created to provide open‑access traditional printmaking facilities, workshops, and an inspiring gallery space for both emerging and established artists. The project began with a temporary gallery showcasing The Mute Persistence of Water, before full renovation transformed the building into the thriving creative centre it is today.

The studio now offers a fully equipped print room, including an Albion flat‑bed press, etching press, and screen‑printing facilities, alongside annual memberships, open‑access sessions, and a rolling programme of workshops. Susan Leeson, our resident printmaker, provides guidance, technical support, and professional advice to help members develop their practice and present their work for sale.

Our flexible gallery hosts exhibitions, pop‑ups, and a dedicated shop supplying specialist printmaking tools and materials. Eastgate Studio has grown into a warm, welcoming community described by visitors as a space with real “soul”, a place where printmakers can learn, experiment, and connect.
